I have been looking for a new job for a while. I like where I am, but there is no development available So... I have been floating myself out there, and I got a nibble (prety quick I might add....) from the Compliance section. Sounds great: I had targetted them as a cool place to work. The DG asked me about an assignment (which is temporary and they have to keep my old job open for me) and I countered with deployment (full time and they back fill my old position: better for everyone all around) . The paperwork for deployment couldn't be done in time, so we are settling on assignment for the time being. The understanding is deployment is in the works. Cool. Perfect.
But in government they say never even talk about leaving until you have signed papers in hand. I mean my boss and my boss' boss knows... but no one else. Like no one I ... oh I dunno .. work with. HR is getting paperwork underway as of today. Guess when I start? Next Tuesday. That is less than one week to either finish, assign or ditch the work. And not one of my coworkers knows I am leaving.
Fun times: no going away party for the ol JayCee I guess.
It will be fine. I have a plan of attack. And I am super skilled at getting other people to do the work, while I take credit. Okay, not really. But sometimes I like to pretend that I am super beaurocracy woman. or maybe I should be beaurocratic super woman so I can be "BS Woman"
EDIT: Oh right: as a Disney Shareholder I now officially own Ms. Marvel! Congrats for meeeee
