Secret Games? What rock have you been under?

Hope everyone is doing well and not too hungover from last night. I won't say much about the game except for i really didn't care who won this year (the first time this has happened in years) but my point of view is it seems the patriots got a little swell headed and extremely underestimated the giants D. Congrats G-Men.

Just read an article over on N4G that claimed to have reveal secret games for 08. Here they are.

Gears of War 2

Forza 3

Dead or Alive 5

Halo Chronicles

Anything for a headline i say. With the success of these franchises is it really a secret that they will continue. It never fails during the slow season of gaming that all of the sites begin to dig really deep for anything they can print.

My take on each title

GOW2- DUH!!!!!!!!

Forza 3 - Microsoft's answer to Gran Turismo. As long as Sony keeps pumping em out i think we'll continue to see this one.

Dead or Alive 5- A staple in the gaming industry. Just like Mortal Kombat, Metal Gear, and Halo. Some things (no matter how bad u want them to) will never die.

Halo Chronicles- What genius thought this was a secret? Please....Bungie will milk this franchise for all it's worth.Hmmm let's see what we can do next...maybe Spartan Kart Racing.

Enough of that. Next topic Devil May Cry 4.

I recently played the demo and although i was very impressed by the overall look the gameplay is still the same.

What gives? Try to mix it up a little (I think that would be called reinventing the series) nooooooo... let's stick with what we have been doing for the LAST 15 FRIGGIN YEARS. Good idea. I am sure the media hounds will be praising this one for the next month or so almost ensuring a million seller. Friggin idiots. Can't someone step up to the plate and be honest.

How bout Google gettin into the fray with Microsoft and Yahoo. This could get real ugly (and i hope it does). Not that i care about Microsoft's attempt at world domination i just like seeing a good fight. Ding, Ding.........let"s get it on.

Call me slow, or stupid or whatever but i am so glad i didnt rush out and buy an HD-DVD player. Sorry for all of you that did but that ship is sinking fast with the captain (microsoft) already talking to Blu Ray. Sellouts....way to stand behind your product.

On the lighter side:

I am now 16 races away from getting past my A class license in Paradise. Thing about though is once i get the elite license or whatever its called I probably still won't go on Live and compete. Still too intimidating for me.

Really don't like to get my ass kicked by some twelve year old in france or something. I just can't live with that kind of shame. Friggin Brats....go to school.

Live has always intimidated me for one reason or the other. Maybe its because i just really suck at competing. Or maybe i dont want to compare myself with the rest of the world and be let down. Will have to talk to my therapist about this one.
