Go Time

It's getting closer and closer to time to go on orders. 8 days or so. Im ready to go. I'm just ready to do this and get it done. when I get back I'll have about 18 months till my contract ends. I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I'm to the point in my life where I don't want to drop everything for 1 out of every 5 years. I don't want to drop everything 1 month a year. Itried to explain to my wife that it is different when you are active duty cuz your not dropping everything to go on tour, it's your full time job. I've just completed everything in need for my Associates in Science. Now I have to wait a year to get my career started. With the way jobs are it's probably not a bad thing. I'm ready to get a job, build a house, raise my boy, start my duel income family and do better for everybody in my household.

I do like the Army I love it. I guess it's just about priorities. I don't do the reserves for the money. Don't get me wrong it is a nice perk but I do it cuz i love the Army. I love my family more though and maybe after this contract they will not longer have to share my time with the Army.
