Air Force gloves.   I've been in the Army now for over 10 years and I understand the flyboys are great big no ball, pussy, losers, (except for the Para rescue and combat controlers.) Now here is my question why are the pockets in the military not for putting things in. They are not for keeping hands warm and they are not for storing anything that makes it look like there is something in it. So why is that? Does having full pockets make a person look unperfessional? What's y'all take on this one?

I think you just answered your own question there buddy. From what I remember from basic, is that their there for you to ask.Its like why in the hell did they give a place to store an ink pin if you can't use it. If you do its considered as an unauthorized medal. Go figure.

I disagree, I think the regs got it right. You want to look professional not like some sloppy knucklehead AR 670-1 states..."Soldiers will ensure that articles carried in pockets do not protrude from the pocket or present a bulky appearance." it also states.... "While in uniform, personnel will not place their hands in their pockets, except momentarily to place or retrieve objects." I think it does present an unprofessional appearance. Think how Joe looks hanging out on the block with his hands jammed up in his pockets. The US Army is a disciplined Professional Army and we need to look the part. You still get a +1 though.
