Fall is my favorite season..

September is upon me & unfortunately, no leaves are turning brown or red or yellow.
There won't be any cornfields or scarecrows.. no haystack mazes.
I grew up in the Fox Valley running along the western end of Chicago and every year around this time, leaves would start turning colors to get ready for Halloween.

I've been in the Navy now for almost 9 years and it's been just that long since I've been back to the midwest for any length of time.. San Diego for 5 years and Jacksonville, Florida for 4.

Needless to say, I miss the seasons.

This September is full of good things though..

15th - Sarah Silverman show with Jeanene
17th - Padres game with Power (4th row from Pads dugout!!)
20th - My cuz gets in from Chicago.. we're gonna live it up in San Diego & Vegas for a few weeks
21st - Red Bull is hosting a stunt plane contest over San Diego Bay.. can't wait
24th - Halo 3 party, tournament & launch!!!
28th - Dave Matthews Concert with Mike
30th - We're off to VEGAS!
............

So even though the leaves won't fall & the colors won't change, I can still buy a pumpkin & put it next to my palm tree. =)
