other than heros, wich is only on a few times a season, i don't watch TV either. i always tell my wife tv was invented for sports, the other stuff is just to fill the time between games. with a little more thought, i guess i watch myth busters a good bit also. i agree, when the show is over, you should have all the answers. i don't want to have to worry about catching next weeks episode so i get my answers. especially since next week will bring new unanswered questions.

Go DVR. I too am not a big TV watcher. I haven't watched a Sit-com in 20 years (if I have the definition right), never watched a so called "Reality" show and other then the news in the morning I never watch "The network" stations, they are programed out. But when I'm bored and don't have enough time to get involved in RE5 or LFD2, I watch one or two recorded shows, fast forward through the commercials, pause when I get a drink. Get my dose of mindless entertainment, turn it off and it records the next episode of "Merlin" for me.

The only thing worse than watching some inane series on TV is discussing that series at the water-cooler. Consider your life well spent if you avoid being drawn into that world, or manage to escape.

I am in the same boat. I watch Battlestar Galactica via Netflix discs and started Lost season 1 via streaming when I have 45 minutes to kill. Other than that I haven't watched a sitcom/series in probably a decade and a half. My issue isnt necessarily the time commitment but the absolute boredom. I tried to give 24 a chance due to all the raves, but I couldnt get into it, and so gave up on series TV. Just like you I watch History, Discovery, or even some A&E when I notice Hoarders is on. I probably know more about the life (or assumed) life of Nostradamus than most people I know. :)
