Subject: $400 a night

A man walks into his bedroom and sees his wife packing a suitcase. He asks, 'What are you doing?'

She answers, 'I'm moving to New York . I heard prostitutes there get paid $400 a night for doing what I do for you for free.'

A little later, on her way out, the wife walks past the bedroom and sees her husband packing his suitcase.

When she asks him where he is going, he replies,
I'm coming too. I want to see how you live on $800 a year.

I have been battling my sleep disorder for several days.  My sleep clock is completely backwards now.  Up at 5pm, to sleep at 3am.  Soooo, after failing to sleep through medication and other means this weekend, I have pulled an old college trick:  Staying up all night.

It's 8am... and I feel like I am dying.  no amount of coffee will save me from this fate.  I might just start weeping openly, complain of cramps and go home.  ARghghghghghhg

Is that why you're hardly ever on xbl? I know having your sleep off can be a bitch.

That's rough Jeepy. I fought a bout of insomnia last year, but fortunately the meds worked fine to get me back on a regular pattern. Now I can use them just for when I travel abroad - nothing screws up my clock like that. Good luck figuring it out...

The all-nighter is, unfortunately, only a termporary solution. I've tried that. Works for a few days and gradually you wind up back on the old schedule you were trying to break.

Have you looked into light therapy. Intense light helps to set our internal clock. I had a fish tank for years with a full spectrum light on a timer. It would come on in the morning, the light would trigger the body to start the day. No grogginess, just felt fine.
