Dark Sector: My midnight sleepy review.

If anyone cares about it SPOILERS---------------------

I wrote this last night after waking up and getting back on to play more of Dark Sector:

Gears like controls
Tri-Blade Thing
Stupid AI
Interesting Story
Easy combat system

Cons:
Stupid AI
No Map inset or directions
Manually pick up all ammo

The disc is sweet.  You can melee, throw, throw fierce, pick things up, break things with it, and also play with the trajectory of it. One thing a little disturbing with the tri-disc is that unless you get a clean head lop off your victim, it will only sever a limb.  So you got this poor screaming guy with one leg or no arms flailing about and still quite capable of harming you.  Aim for the head.  The AI for the most part is just a stupid as most Casual AI.  They sneak around to their designated spots, when a man goes down, another pops in to fill his place until the number of enemies you must kill to get through is complete.  It's not annoying, yet - but I can see it irking me.  You have to manually pick up all ammo, and once you are infected, the guns have a virus shut down system - meaning you can't use them for long because they get deactivated.

The most fun so far was RPGing a helicopter down - once I found the RPG's and the extra ammo. Also this nasty looking beast with the virus came out and rumbled about like an ogre with ants in his pants.  It actually made me laugh out loud.

The story has me very interested.  So far so good, 3 chapters down. 

And I might have played Rainbow last night.  Maybe.  Thanks to a Daddy, Fairy, Zer0, Cook and DIE for playing with me.
