I lit a smoke last night out of PURE habit.... 100% habit.  Totally lit... grabbed smokes (they were my house guests) cracked open the balcony door, lit... puff - WTF....I am so pissed at myself right now.  Can't even tell my hubby about it yet....

So you start over again today. It will happen, Jeepy, don't beat yourself up over it.

One puff doesn't break three weeks of progress. Put it out of mind as done, over, and move on back to where you were going.

Yep what Balek said. Don't give up. And don't feel bad about the cravings. I quit last April 19 and still want one...it's a fight everyday against the urge.

1 puff in 21 days ain't bad. Just keep going with out smoking and tell your guest to keep cigarettes in the car next time.

I'd give ya a thumbs down, but... you already feel bad enough. ;-) Time to start over... work towards that 1 month coin!

It's all habit now. Your past the physical addiction. Just keep going, it does get easier. If you need to take your mind off of smoking, just grab a Q-Tip and go find that cat! :)

how did it taste? I know after I quit for a substantial amount of time, the first puff I took tasted nasty. Oh, I added you to twitter :^)

3 weeks is the exact statistical failure point for any resolution. That's why people are depressed the 3rd week in January. Pick your self up and start again. You're human like 80% of the population that makes the same mistake when trying to change.

I agree with Balek. You've been kicking ass for 3 weeks. Forget about this, and concentrate on kicking ass for 3 more weeks.

I am a statistical failure. LMAO Tara your odd bits of wisdom somehow always make me giggle. Thanks for the support guys. I simply let my guard down, quit being vigilant. I'm back on the wagon though... won't happen in another 3 weeks

shake it off you're doing great! There's always gonna be bumps in the road. What counts is how you react to the slip. It certainly doesn't discredit the 21 smokeless days you've had. It's a step back on the climb up the ladder, not a fall to the ground.

No pressure, but if you do it again a kitten gets Full-blown AIDS. It's not a catastrophe. It's not failure of character. It's a conditioned response to an overwhelmingly powerful drug. Don't beat yourself up Jeep, you're doing great. Just know that reintroducing the drug to the system can put you in a place craving wise that you haven't been in for a few weeks. Same drill, and keep hydrated. Good luck!

Every time you smoke, a kitten dies. Coincidently, my co-worker's cat died yesterday. Ergo, YOU KILLED HER!!! Relapse is part of recovery. We're all human and can slip now or again. Keep up the good work and concentrate on the 21 days you didn't have a puff rather than the 1 you did.
