Day20: Fenix is one HAWT Kitteh!

20 freaking days!  holy crap that seems like a lot.  My car still stinks of it, some of my clothes still do.  I still have to intentionally change my routine up to keep from thinking about smoking.  But the biggest thing is that there are no smokes.  If I wanted to smoke, I would have to go the store, buy a pack and a lighter.  That's a lot of time to talk myself out of it - and our little corner store guys know I quit and would give me so much crap.  They say i buy more beer now.  lol.

---------------------------=======

I think my cat is in heat.  Haven't had a cat since I was a kid.  Fenix is suddenly very.... vocal.  VERY vocal.  All day, All night.. laying down rubbing on crap.  It's like she's on X.  We crate our two outside dogs at night when it's super cold.  Fatty and Spot.  Last night... Fenix was putting on some sort of Kitteh Burlesque Show for them.  I swear she was hitting on the dogs.  Creepiest damn thing ever.  So she's banished to the garage until she can stop being such a harlot. Anyone have any tips or tricks?  I'm getting her fixed as soon as taxes come in.  :)

-------------------------========

Shindig at Jeep's house!  We had a LAN to attend.  Plans were to all meet up at my house, then travel via caravan to the LAN a few hours away.  Well, the LAN looked more and more like some sort of high school festival of crap - so we canned the LAN part.  :)

I'm hoping it works out.  12 people converging on my house?  5 TV's, 5 Xbox's, 2 rockband sets.  ....  that's how many bottles of rum?

Jeep, the only way to stop a female cat when she's in heat is to get her spayed or get her laid, lol. If you don't do it, she may go into this phase couple of weeks at a time several months out of the year. I think keeping her in the garage is a good idea. Female cats in heat "spray" their surroundings, and I'm sure you don't want your home smelling like cat pee. Make sure NOTHING can get into the garage though, or you may end up with a pregnant kitty, as she will keep calling out "to get laid", and some male stray cat may hear her and come over. I was apprehensive about getting my kitty spayed when I got her, until the vet told me this, lol Good luck.

Also I forgot to mention, I don't know where you live, but the Anti Cruelty Society here in Chicago spays cats for free. There might be a place near you that does the same. Calling a similar organization in your town would be a good starting point to see what they have.

It's $120 here to spay.. but totally worth it. Funny enough the neigborhood is loaded with stray cats, and they all seem to be around my house lately. LOL. But she is on lockdown crated in the garage. I feel bad for her.. Spaying sooN!

Used car salesman trick...put a couple dryer sheets (Bounce) under the seats of the car. Change then every few days. And spray the seat fabric with Fabreeze. It would be tough to not smoke and smell that all the time. Hang in there.

Throw the cat at a wall. Works like a charm.

Take her to a local PAWS, and get her spayed...say she's a stray, and they'll release her in the same area...ie...your house...hahahaha I am about ready to take some cats that piss on my front door to the Spirit in the Sky...hope your cat doesn't go crazy in the garage! WAY TO GO on 20 days! Keep it up PS...you crack me up! I can now start my tuesday with a chuckle. :)

Keep up the good work. It's tough to quit. The hardest part is the 1st 3 months. The cravings, and old habits will almost drive you crazy. Hang in there. Quit smoking Jan 1, 2007, and been smoke free since.

To quote the great philosopher Bob Barker: "Help control the pet population, have your pets spayed or neutered."
