Day21: Twitter is All You Need!

Myspace - Facebook - Top 100 RSS feeds - Friend of Friend of Friends...... BLAH BLAH BLAH.  Hunting down information - especially info you actually WANT has become a pain in the ass.


Oh Internetz Godz and Goddezzez - Why can't I have a site where I can have news that I choose, reviews, friends, all wrapped neatly in a two sentence blurb?  A Place where mini-urls abound so that if I choose, I may take the jump to the full story? 


Oh wait there is???  TWITTER


Now you can go barf nuts on twitter as a well with apps and features, but as far a Speedy Gonzales social networking.... they've got it.  Myspace account - deleted, Facebook account - gone (well, GONE but still there to be used as the Facebook BigUns want to), no more Mobsters or games, or complex themes or refridgerator magnets or am I hot or BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH to wade through.


Twitter rules b/c of it's simplicity.


1. 140 character limit. - You really only need 140.. trust me....I could do this blog in 140 - "Twitter > ALL b/cof it's customizable yet simple. Nothing else compares, did this to prove a point on my blog.  http://tinyurl.com/d3vg94"  Still had 3 characters to spare people!


2. My background, My photo, My Bio blip and website - Really what more info do you NEED to get out there?


3. Direct Messaging - Has it


4. Follow or be Followed - Really don't care about your buddies updates?  UnFollowing is the equavalent of Unfriending on XBL - better tell them why first.  ;)

21 days... when do you think I will stop counting? I know from the comments I have received, some of you ex-smokers still count years later. 


I've gained some weight..... Doc and Hubby says don't worry about it for now.  Get 60 days no smoking and then we will worry about weight.  I'm not real thrilled about it.  But I suppose it comes with the territory.  Plus those damn FISH FILLET SANDWICHES at Wendys are HELLA YUMMY!

I love this site.  Love that it is simply itself.  It's not perfect, it's not PC, but it is what it is and it doesn't apologize for that.  :)  Thanks for this awesome home for my blog - and for allowing NoGame to stay even though he humps deerjerky on Wednesday nights.  ;)

I have myspace, facebook, a ton of RSS feeds\r \r Yet I've been hesitant to get on Twitter. I find it a bit strange of people getting updates to their personal devices with every move I make? Isn't it how that works?\r On facebook, only people who log in will see if I posted something that day.\r \r Maybe I'll try it out today since I have nothing to work on and I already got my ass to the office =/

NoGame gets to stay because he whores out his services to Doodi, et al. Darth Vader drinking Shiner Bock is awesome. And yes, the Wendy's fish sandwich runs circles around the Filet O'Fish from McDs.

@jackal - holy crap yes.... night and day difference. \r \r @Kitten - You don't have to get updates sent to your phone, but it is hella convenient in some cases. My RL friends and I organize dinners on the fly that way. And you can set times of day for the device updates to be off. Plus... when you are drunk as hell and want to twitter something like SUPERMONKEYBALLLLLLLZZZZZ and are no where near a computer - you can just send it from your phone. It's awesome..

Ok I have set up an account =O. It will probably take me a day or so to figure out all the stuff on there with the updates and such.
