Objective based which I prefer because it brings the focus for the win to one location where peeps rush to like a magnet. I've noticed a trend though, that I am not fond of. Sandbagging the match to get maximum kills. This usually pops up on the last spawn of HQ or the whole game for Sabatoge. It turns the match into an long Team Deathmatch, which would be fine, if I wanted to play TDM.
In Headquarters, it's not so bad, they may run the clock out, but it's hard to hold off a team from the HQ spot for that long. But Sabatoge is most affected. My goal in Sab? Grab the bomb, push to the desginated plant site, plant it, guard it, KA-BOOOOM. When I mention in-game that we should plant and they reply that no, they want to get a bunch of kills, I of course retort - You should go play TDM then. That is apparently the wrong response. The only good reason I have heard so far for the kill-boosting is that TDM has a limit on the number of possible kills for the match. The thing is, you can always pop into another match. Or do they just want the bragging rights [like Shipment] - "Man, I went 122-40 on Overgrown." I recognize this early in the game when, especially on Bog, I see 3-4 people lining up with sniper rifles in the back. They will stay there the whole match. 1 sniper is fine, but do we really need 4?
I try to plant the bomb anyways. Which usually works - until I get on Overgrown, or Assault, or one of the maps where you can jump to odd ass places. I can't do the jump glitches - and I hesitate to call them glitches at all because I don't think they are an abuse of the game. So Mr. Bomb-Carrier gets the bomb. Puts it out of reach and then kills themself. Greeeeeeeaaat. Now I have no choice but to TDM the game until Sudden Death occurs. I can see how this makes killing easy, there are always a handful of schmucks [me included] still trying to get the bomb and plant it. If it does get planted, the TDM guys pull back and let them diffuse it.
So what is more important: K/D Ratio > Win/Loss Ratio
Don't take this as bitching. Or having a problem with pubbing. I am still enjoying the game when this happens. For some reason text doesn't seem to convey my debate nature. I like to put points out there just to talk about them. Get other's opinions.
I guess I just prefer to blow things up and end it immediatly, to the slow back and forth of killing to win. I prefer nukes to troops. :)
