Hubby's HOME! YaY!@

My hubby graduated with Honors and all kinds of certifications yesterday. He is home, a little weary, but HOME! Last night we got in late, I gave him a foot rub, watched Hell's Kitchen and then went to bed.

----ENTER SARAH MADNESS-------- /think Enter Sandman playing in the background

2am. Sarah peers into our room. It's dark, but I can see from the hallway light that she is holding something. Once I take it out of her hands I realize it is something with VERY jagged, sharp edges. Lights on - one of our globes. The shake and see the sparkles kind. Missing the globe part. She had cut her finger a little as well. She seemed surprised that when she threw it at the wall it broke, then cut her hand when she picked it up to try and fix it.

My poor husband was completely floored. I tried to explain this was normal. I ended up just giving him a task to complete (go upstairs and pick up the glass) while I dealt with Sarah. He did. and he vacuumed the floor, then washed the dishes for some reason.

--------IN MY WAY-----------

Oh man, he is in my way. In the bathroom, in the kitchen, in front of the TV, turned off my alarm, used the towel for my hair, moved my keys to god knows where, put my cell phone on the charger in the wrong room, drank the last flavoured water I reserve for my inbound trek to work each day. All innocent mistakes. But my rhythum is off, and it just feels like he is there everytime I turn my head! LOL

This homecoming may take us a few weeks to reintergrate Todd into the household. I never been so happy to be so frusterated in my life. :)

Edit: I would also like to add a small note to no one in particular.  If you don't like me, or my blog content, don't click it.  Don't read it.  This insta-thumbs down crap is really not the way to get your point across.  And yes, I know that you thumb it down regardless of content or length, or any other real reason to use the thumbs down.  I will continue to blog, I will continue to be me.  If you would like to make your issue known to me, then PM me.  Everytime you click on my blog to give me a thumbs down, I get a blog hit.  Doesn't that seem a little counter-productive?

I gave a thumbs up, too. I usually don't give up or down. Even to the blogs of psycho ranting. How someone could have a problem with a blog about adventures in real life is beyond me.

* We men need orientation for the household. Personally, I need a refresher orientation often. :) * What exactly is the purpose of the thumbs up/down mechanic? It only seem to irritate people who create content, which it seems would be the last people that you would want to irritate on a community site.

Don't acknowledge the thumbs down. Like tiny children, it only encourages their behavior.

It doesn't bug me anymore, although it used to. More than anything I know that if someone's blog really bothers me, I wouldn't read it. I guess I am trying to coach the fairy. I am one of those that tries to see the good in everyone. LOL

The thumbs-down fairy is just that... a fairy.

god I am so tired of hearing bitching about the thumbs-down. No one ever says anything about unmerited thumbs-up, but someone gets a thumb down and it's the end of the world.

this was awesome...like being a fly on the wall at JeepChick's house... ;) Glad your daughter is ok. I think we should find who's doing the thumbs down thing...then take them to the town square where we will proceed to....do, I dunno, something! hahaha

LMAO @ Mike - seriously, it's not that big of a deal. Every blog I have is upped and downed. I just dislike that the purpose of the system (to give feedback about content to the writer) is abused by the randomness of the fairy. It's sad really. and you better not have given me a thumbs up.. :)

As stated in previous blogs--my rule is, any blog complaining about thumbs down gets a thumbs down, so don't worry!

SWEEET! I know the feeling- after coming back from overseas, my house didn't even look the same. I ain't even going to talk about my bank account.... :D I'm glad you're having to learn each other again- it makes it all fresh and new, as long as you remember that he's going through the same thing and everybody is patient! At least he is warm and safe beside you, with the snoring and farting as an added bonus!!

I like reading your blogs. Don't you dare stop bringing us your charming stories. The hell with the thumb downers...... booooo! I don't do the thumbs up or down thing, but if it will make you feel better, I'll start right away. I gave Durty a thumbs up once, seemed the right thing to do,....for her job well done.... = ) but if I have to, I'll pass thumbs up, all over the darn place. My thumbs have been worked hard before, (controller workouts) they can take it. +1

I am also guilty of absolutely despising the thumbs down fairy! But, like Jeepy, have learned to sorta ignore it. Ya, if you dislike my blog, tell me so in a pm. And, Jeepy, soooo glad he is home. I understand completely about the being in the way thing. Have fun adjusting!
