Kittens to the vet. All good except for the expected worms. They are 12 weeks old, but SO tiny!
We talked about it a long time. We are going to keep them. The old dog crate is huge, plenty of room for their Kitteh Suite (litter box in the back, Kitteh Cave for sleeping in the middle, food and water on the side and play area near the door.) Until the worms are all out, we are still limiting their interaction with the other animals.
Since they have gotten some food and medicine in them, they have perked up and are pretty cool little kittens. We actually got purrs and snuggles from them last night! My son is still like the Kitten Budda. He will sit down and they come running for him, lay in his lap, or climb his back. My daughter pretends she is the Mommy Cat and crawls around with them. They are playing well with both the kids.
I really don't want to declaw them. Aside from the fact that they are then defenseless, they will never be out in the house without supervision. Like our dogs, they go into the crate or outside when we can't focus on them.
The best I can tell someone had these kittens and them dumped them. They know how to use the litter box, they eat dry food with a passion, they aren't afraid of people or dogs.
My daughter told my husband he was, "The best Daddy in the Whole World." And my son told Dad he was like the people on that really sad commercial with the Angel song that saves animals.
So, let me present...
---------------------COLE "Pain Train"
This all black little boy was obviously the runt of the litter. He is laid back and enjoys watching the action more than being part of it. He likes the dogs. :) He has the creepiest eyes I have ever seen.
-------------------------FENIX "Sarah#2"
Fenix is fluffy, bouncy, antagonistic. Last night she made several assasination attempts on my poor husband's scrot. His pajama shorts were just too enticing....the legs holes tend to billow out. She isn't afraid of anything, waltzes around like this is her new princess suite. She takes the lead, Cole usually follows shortly if he feels like he needs a better vantage point. It took me 20 mins to get a pic of her because she never stops moving it seems.
--------------------------------------------
They both will be fixed at the earliest oppurtunity. They have specials usually in the fall so it doesn't cost so much.
