Back to work, snow all gone...

Missus Joker and I were without power for three days, so the only blog entry that got done was the one which was already in the pipe to auto-post. I would have waxed eloquent about our pioneer spirit and railed at Central Hudson's failure to provide any flipping dry ice to preserve our food stuffs. In actuality, we made the best of a rotten situation and huddled for warmth (which was kinda fun in itself, lol). Still and all, it was a glorious thing when we drove back to the HQ and found lights burning there for us!! We took some nice, long hot showers and went to bed clean, contented, and happy. We would have been happy in any event, since we were together. I'm off in Albany now, doing the ever dreaded four night rotation, while Missus Joker and family man the battlements. Come Sunday, I'll be heading back home again to her loving arms and sweet kisses. Lord, I can't wait!! I love you, baby!! I'll be home on Sunday!!

Time marches on towards the anticipated Modern Warfare 3 release. A date mixup caused me to think the release date was 11 November and not 8 November, so a proposed gaming day had to be rescheduled. Regardless, a gaming date has been set for Black Friday for Matt, Reibo, and Demonic to let me ride their MW3 coat-tails, lol. On the gaming front, the power at the HQ came on just in time for my Sweet Effie to guide me thru making a black cat on Toontown. We basically just made the black kitty (the ill-named 'King Walter') and then shut down so we could take a snowstorm-delayed shower. On Good Old Games, I downloaded Unreal Tournament today and played and played a couple of matches of Unreal Tournament 24K, as well. I couldn't help but be impressed at how much better the AI is on a seven year old game than on Call of Duty: Black Ops. Moving on...
