"A still more glorious dawn awaits..."

    If things go well, today's hospital agenda will be deciding how to arrange the rehab thing for Mom. She was looking quite a bit better yesterday, tho still weak. There was a lot of muscle damage from the Crestor, and it's not clear how much of a recovery she'll be able to make. Only time will tell... I'll be back at the hospital this AM and most of the day. At the same time, the old Jeep I rattle around in is in the shop for scheduled maintenance. Like any old deathtrap of a vehicle, when any scheduled maintenance occurs, it's even money whether some unscheduled maintenance will also rear its ugly, expensive head. I'd ditch the old girl, but I can't afford a new or even used one yet...

    Is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 phenom out of steam? In fact, news on CoD in general has slacked off drastically since the end of E3. Maybe it's just a lull, but it's a bit weird to have to really, really dig for CoD-related links. The ripples from the CoD subscription upheaval have mostly faded, smoothed over by timely denials by all parties concerned. As noted in a TFTS blog link in the main blog, not everyone was convinced. It's not a matter of doubting whether Fourzerotwo and JD_2020 were telling the truth on the denials. I'm sure it was the truth - the truth of the moment. It's the political, expedient truth with a healthy dose of plausible deniability. We'll see what transpires.
   I'm already decided in any case. I don't play anywhere near enough to make it worthwhile to pay an extra dime. And, as blogged here before, the product is intrinsically under-featured and under-supported to even think of charging people to play. 
    Today's featured MW2 vid is a double nuke by Nvidious. Speaking as someone who has zero (zilch, nada, nien, none) nukes to his credit, I'm a bit envious. The second vid is a World at War zombies knife fest. Mr. JM4N only makes it a few rounds, but it's pretty impressive. And it's impressive, too, how the game inherently cheats. A zombie instantly killed by a knife attack in Round 1 takes 5 hits by Round 6. Whisky Tango Foxtrot, over?     

    I did get online for an hour or two last night to play Tango Down. I'll probably finishh up my thoughts on it for tomorrow's Vent. Moving on...
