He has to be kept away from Megan for a while, which is bad for him because he enjoys playing with her. And, the fact that he has this during his first Spring Break. Not to mention on more thing...they have no idea how long he has had it. He could have passed it to Megan over the weekend and now we have to watch Megan VERY closely to see if she develops symptoms. If so, it's a dash back to the doctor's office.
Second, Megan had a follow up becuase she is still not producing a significant amount of urine in her diapers. Bad. Doc also, said that we need to watch this VERY closely. If she does not start having at least 3 decently wet diapers a day, again it's a dash to the doc's office, with the possibility that we are heading to the hospital. Her body is fighting off multiple viruses right now and with her Mitochondrial Disease, it is making it very hard for this to happen. So hard, in fact, that her body is withholding urine to keep itself hydrated. Again...bad. She has Early Renal Tubular Dysfunction, and if things start getting backed up into her kidneys, they could fail. Instant distress. This could happen very fast and without warning, so Stacy and I will be on high alert for the next few days. But, we know that God is supremely in control of the situation and we won't let anything, or anyone else tell us otherwise.
And do you think Megan is going to let this get her down? Judge for yourself...
Take that you Early Renal Tubular Dysfunction!!!!!!
