Hi guys! Megan is doing well, except for her constant double ear infection that has never gone away. She has been like this for many months now so we have made the decision to go ahead and do another surgery to replace her tubes. We really hoped that she would not need them anymore but Megan is surviving on constant ear drops to numb her ears and help with the pain. The constant infections are also not good, especially for her hearing. She, as usual, is handling it very well though.

We have a huge praise! We have found a cardiologist for Megan and the wonderful news is that he knows about Mitochondrial Disease. Our doctor fully recommended him and we have some friends (whom are like family to us) that take their daughter to him and have always been very pleased. This is such a big deal because we won’t have to go into the appointment explaining to him what disease Megan has and telling him all about it. PRAISE GOD!!! She will also be seeing an opthamologist to check her eyes. I will be very interested to see how they check on that. So, we have lots of appointments but hopefully we will get a lot of information as well.

Megan has also become very vocal about her pain. She can tell us when her ears hurt and when her belly hurts. She has the sweetest little voice but it is so sad to hear her tell you she is in pain. It is nice only because she is able to let us know so we are not guessing.

So Spring is getting ready to begin and so does our hectic life. The boys start soccer in two weeks and Jim will start playing softball. We love it! Jim said he was like a kid in a candy store yesterday buying everything the boys need for soccer. We think they are really going to have a blast but most importantly we wanted them to have something to do of their own. They are so great and do wonderful with Megan and all the doctors appointments, they really deserve some time to just be boys. We can’t wait!

What a blessing it was so see my sister-in-law (who recently asked Jesus into her heart) get baptized at our church this past weekend. I teared up like a mother watching her child as I stood at the side of the baptismal pool watching and waiting for her. As she came out I handed her towel and told her again how proud I was. Her and my brother joined our church two weeks ago. Man (I hope I am not embarrassing them) to see the transformation in them has just been amazing and we are just so proud and give all Glory and Honor to God!!!

Anyways, I guess that is it for now. We love you all very much and thank you so much for your continued prayers for Megan. Please pray for the new doctors coming on board to help with Megan’s disease and pray for her upcoming surgery. It will more than likely be next month. Pray that she will stay healthy for the surgery as well. God Bless and have an awesome week!!!
