Shared on Tue, 10/09/2007 - 14:26Well, I had to bring Ian and Megan home, to be here when Jim got home from school and here is what I know so far. He had a CT Scan, X-Rays of his back and some blood drawn. We are waiting for results to come back. As far as it being a stroke, they did the typical tests of stroke victims, holding up both arms, squeezing hands and lifting up his legs and everything seemed normal. But, the doctor thinks there may be something else wrong with him. Now, he does have Alzheimer's and Social Services is going to come in and talk with him, helping Stacy, and explain to him why he needs to be in an assisted living home. This is starting to wear on both Stacy and I and if this type of incident is any indication what the future holds for dad, then we are in no shape to provide the proper care he deserves and needs. It's tough to have to do this to your parents, but we have Megan that is our primary concern as of now, not taking anything away from her dad at all, but she is unable to care for herself and is completely dependent upon the two of us to take care of her. Continue to pray for us as we struggle to try and get a grip on how out-of-control things have gotten in the last few hours. God bless every one of you. I will update on test results when I hear back from Stacy.
