'Twas a busy weekend at our home. Some of you knew, some didn't, but Stacy ended up being diagnosed with Pleurisy last week. For those that want ot read here is a link to what Pleurisy is all about  http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/understanding-pleurisy-basics Basically, Pleurisy is brought on by something else. You get chills, shortness of breath due to inflammation and swelling of the lung making deep breath VERY painful, fever lots of pain in the chest area. Pneumonia or any number of viruses are the common culprit. So we had to get her chest x-rayed on Thursday. Pneumonia is not a good thing to have at our place. So they determined that it was cause by a virus, so that means no meds to help other than some pain medication. Pleurisy that is caused by a virus just has to work its way out of your system. So it was a miserable week and weekend for Stacy. At one point on Friday night, we thought Megan had caught it. She was taking short breaths and complaining a lot. She finally threw up some clear liquid, and she was fine. That's her way of feeling better when she gets congested. She will throw up mucus and be completely OK. We did a lot of watching with Megan all weekend long. The boys were great. Jim actually had it last weekend, and only had it for a couple of days. All together, I think Stacy has done well with this. She has rested and not really complained, although I know she is in a lot of pain. I did my best to take care of her. I just hope and pray, Megan doesn't show any signs of a virus. From past experiences and speaking with doctors, it usually takes a week for one to show symptoms after catching a virus. Anything respiratory with her would be bad, virus or not.

On a brighter note, the weather here in ATL, has been gorgeous for the past few weeks. I know, we need the rain in the worst of all ways, but at least its dry and 70 in stead of dry and 100. Walking the mountain has been nice and the fresh air has been, well, refreshing. i hope, having been exercising hard core over the last 5 or 6 months, will pay off with me not getting sick during the winter. Take care everyone and hope to post something new soon.
