Well, so I can't exactly finish Through the Fire and Flames on Expert in GH3 yet, (see previous blog post), but I was able to nail the Star Mania achievement at least (Use star power 3x in Expert mode)!

 

 

Thanks to Snellstedt for the tip on having to play it in Quick Play instead of Career (or else I would not have got the achievement!).

Good tip to remember - and congrats!!! I still can't get the thumb technique down. I tried ignoring orange, but that didn't work. I even tried playing Jeff Healey (RIP)-style, but that didn't help. Still a 2%-er.

Getting the thumb thing down is a BIATCH!! Just gotta remember to tap the notes as fast as you are strumming so you nab each green not of the pull off/hammer on.

I'm a little jealous. Ever since I broke my pinky on left hand, it hurts too much to play. Congrats though, that song is a bitch.

I forgot to mention, I have a friend who puts a rubber band on the green tab and that seems to work out for him.
