I don't spend as much time on 2o2p as I used too, maybe it's because I changed jobs and can't surf all day, maybe it's because my H2 clan has been disembowled by WoW and H3 doesn't have clan support, maybe it's because Halo 3 hasn't pulled me in the way H2 did. I don't know. What I do know is that there seems to be a large amount of....animosity (if that's the right word) between the hard core H3 players and those of us who aren't. Any time someone says, "Halo 3 has problems." "The melee system sucks." "Something's wrong with the sniper." "I threw Halo 3 int the trash." or whatever, it eventualy turn into a heated arguement and the thread gets locked. Now, I know that there's no place for name calling on the site, but a lot of people are VERY protective about their precious Halo3. Don't get me wrong, I stood in line to buy the game. I finished it in 2 days. I play MM several times a week. I like the game. But you have to admit that it's not the be-all end-all of FPS's. HALO3 has problems people!!!! Don't take it personally, it's not a slight against your character if someone doesn't like the game. I know that this site is full of people who came here because of Halo, I'm one of them. But the attitude of some of the hard-core, elite, competitive players from the site have is just childish. Defending the game is one thing, but when someone has a complaint and the only response is, "Well, you just suck and can't snipe/melee/???? properly. YOU NOOB." Then it's you who needs to remove the stick from the anal cavity. Not the other way around. Halo 3 is not perfect. Sure, some of my issues with the game come down to a matter of taste, but there are some problems. To suggest otherwise and to create divisions in the community because you'd rather call people noobs instead of actually playing with them is contrary to the very reason the site was created in the first place.
There, I've said my piece. Flame away.
