I've Created a Monster

Friday night we went to Target to buy the movie, "Over the Hedge." My son said that the TV told him it was on DVD now. Well, the release date actually turns out to be Oct. 17th. That's what I get for listening to a 6 year old. Not wanting to waste a trip to the store, we start looking through the games section and my wife points out "Lego Star Wars" in the clearance rack. I've been thinking of getting this for the boys, and since some of the guys on the site said it was great for kids, I thought it would make a good Christmas gift. Well my wife really wanted to get it, which is odd, so we did. We helped the kids play it for a while until bed time and they had a blast. Then my wife and I played it for 3 hours. She's a maniac. She has some strange obsession with collecting every singe kit piece and getting all the money we can. I've started calling her "Mr. Crabs" for her newfound money gathering abilities.

Over the course of the weekend we've played that game for at least 15 hours. I still have 3 movies from Netflix I havent watched. Worst of all, she made me bring the XBOX upstairs to the "good" TV. (She never liked that idea when I suggetsed it for playing Halo.) I don't have internet at that TV, so I haven't been on LIVE for 4 days now!  It looks like I have some wiring to do tonight if the whole family is going to be happy. She's even talking about his and hers 360's since we won't be able to share!

Same thing in my house man! Got Lego Stars Wars 2 for my 6 year old daughter, and now my wife’s into it also. We also have 3 unwatched Netflix movies. My wife was anti 360 because all I had was fps and racing games until now. I’m also considering Viva piñata and Fusion Frenzy as a great non gamer enticement tool to make our home more Xbox friendly. Buuhuuhaaaaaa!

Same here. My evil plan is Lego Star Wars and Viva Pinata. I played the lego demo and so did my son (5 years old) The Wbox was very happy, I think I can get her hooked on Viva Pinata (she's not a gamer). Then just replace my sons 180 by a 360. And in my house all the rooms now have internet. I don't belive in wireless. But was easy since the basement is not finished yet.
