Not that anyone is even going to read this becuse I'll only be on the front page for 5-10 minutes before I get bumped. That's understandable right? I mean we do have over 5000 some-ood members on the site. But it seems like the same few keep popping up on the home page. Now with the addition of stats, counters and leaderboards etc. it seems like there are those who strive for being in the top 25 for the month. In theory it's a good idea to show the most popular blogs so more people can get a chance to read them. But it seems like kind of a catch 22, the more you post, the more people see and read your blog and the more popular you become. Someone told me, "Just bookmark the blogs you like and check them." Fine, but how am I ever going to discover new interesting people whose blogs I'd like to read if they aren't up for more than a few minutes?
Now, don't get me wrong, people should be able to post as much as they want about whatever they want in their own blog. The problem I have is that the only way to see what news blog posts there are requires constant watching of the banner on the home page. A few minutes go by and you might not see that someone new has posted something you might enjoy reading. It used to be that you could click on a link to see the last 10 entries or so, but now that takes you to the leader board.
What's the solution? I don't know, but here's an idea. Evveryone send their blog ideas to me and I'll see if they deserve to be posted.
I do think it would be nice to have a link to a page that at least showed who posted that day so I could see if I missed reading someone's.
