This place keeps growing and growing. We started this website 9 months ago and doodi and DSmooth keep adding feature after feature to make this the ultimate old fart website on the internet. These two never cease to amaze me.
So what's going on with the King? I gave up Halo...again. What? It's been over a year. You can't expect me to keep playing the same game over and over. Plus, I have this new game console that is begging for some action. So what am I playing?
Perfect Dark Zero - I bought this at launch and it kept my interest for awhile but I am just not feeling it. Sure Ms. Dark is a fine peice of ass and has nice shiny graphics, but the bitch can't jump. It's not just that, the physics of the game just seems off. And the online portion has serious weapon balance issues. Every game you join, it seems like the guy with the Super Dragon owns everybody. Then, there is that one weapon where the bullets bounce off walls. Dudes get this and hide down a hallway and just bounce shots back at you so that they are virtually untouchable. PD0 has been shelved and I don't know if I will get back to it.
Final Fantasy XI - The free demo came in and I played it for awhile. I must not understand MMORPGs. How is this not like work? You work for 4 hours to gain one fucking level so that you are taking 24 hps off of rabbits when you punch them and not 22hps. *Yawn* Without my buddies online with me, this game is as boring as organizing the lint that you pick out from your belly button by color. (Why is it always blue?)
Condemned - This just came in and definately has potential. It has great graphics and a killer mood. I love how it is unlike any FPS I have ever played. I am primarily using a 2x4 as a weapon as the ammo for guns is in short supply. The story is intriguing and the enemy AI or programming is uncanny. Now, my wife was thinking this was some type of gay bashing game because she said she kept hearing me yell, "Die, you fucking homo! Die" at the screen. I had to inform her that I was getting jumped by hobos and not homos.
Disgaea - With the advent of the 360, I had to rethink my entertainment center strategy. My TV only has 2 HD inputs, so I unplugged the PS2. Seeing an opportunity arise, I told my wife that I had to move the PS2 in the bedroom. So now I can play a few rounds of Disgaea before bed. What, never heard of it? Check it out http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/589678.asp . Best strategy RPG ever.
Robotron, bitches - More so than anything else, I have been playing a hell of a lot of Robotron. Last Friday, I played Robotron for 4 hours trying to beat my high score (unsuccesfully). When I closed my eyes to go to sleep, I kept seeing little mommies, daddies, and timmies dancing across my eyelids. I don't really understand why I am playing a 5-gens old game on a next gen console, but I dig it, man, I dig it.
That's enough for now. Next time I will try to write something interesting.
