First blog post on 2old2play, so I'm sure this will be a thrilling read. Well, maybe not really, but hope you check it out anyway.

I guess I'll just start off briefly by giving a small introduction of who I am. My name is Jorge Harada, I live and love in Austin, TX. I'm a graphic designer/illustrator by day, 6-string guitar slinger in a honky-tonk/roots/rockabilly band by night, and avid Xbox-er during the night, or whenever other stuff gets done.

I've been a fan of video games ever since I got my first glimpse of Colecovision tennis back in the early 70's, then discovered arcade gaming in 1980 when an uncle took me to HomePort in North Conway, NH. My first coin-op was Galaga, followed by Space Invaders. Played and played and played, or as much as a 13 year old can play without a "real job" and a meager but well earned salary from the paper route. Wherever there were coin-op games, I'd stop in and play. I think must've made rich the asian grandparents that owned the liquor store on my way home from school as I pumped quarters into the Donkey Kong Jr. machine on a daily basis. Robotron, Joust, Defender and Stargate (sucked at both of them), Centipede, etc. I loved them all.

The first console I ever played was the Magnavox Odyssey 2, then the Atari 2600. Did a little bit of gaming on a friend's Atari personal computer, but didn't really do too much console gaming, my kick has always been on coin-op machines. After wandering the world (literally) for a few years, I bought my first Macintosh, a Centris 610 and played AirWarrior on the GeNie network. Upgraded to an Apple Macintosh G3, and spent a few years on Unreal Tournament, after which I got my first game console, a Playstation 2 and gamed up the Armored Core series, and GTA3. Got out of gaming for a while, and just received my first XBOX 360 and lovin' it! Currently, I'm going through the BATTLEFIELD: Bad Company title, I occasionally play Rock Band, and well, I'm having a gas doing it!

Thanks for reading - see you on the XBL!

There are others here who also slung newspapers for a steady supply of quarters. **cough - asteroids - cough, cough** Joe is a nice touch. Welcome.
