Im 30 years old and I remember growing up and from Thanksgiving untill about march or even April some years we would have snow and a lot of it.
I think everyday we would have some kind of snowball war or attack the fort. or even tying a rope on the back of the three wheeler Thats right a three wheeler!!!! and being dragged behind it on a sled. Those were the great days (except when I had to shovel the driveway, and the driveway was about 75 yards long as we lived in the outskirts of town on a lake.
Now I dont even like shoveling my four steps I have the whole 3 times It has snowed this year.
I really think kids now are missing out on the joys of going sledding cross country skiing in the trails out behind your house or a friends. As much as I hate the cold now I really do miss a winter when we have snow it just seems like a cold desolite wasteland out here lately.
Dont get me wrong Maine is one of the best places to live in this country and I really know I have lived in the four corners of the united states and a few in between. I really recommend going on a vacation to Maine someday in your life if anyone is reading this besides one friend I have here on 202p that lives in Maine.( you know who you are!!! lol)
I would suggest now though coming in the summer or fall and doing the leef peeping thing.
Anyway I was bored tonight as I pretty much am living by myself these days at least most of the week and just felt like writing.
