I'd like opinions on this before I post mine.  Here are some facts:

-Homeless man dumped out of a van on Skid Row in LA
-Van was from Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital
-Man is a parapalegic
-Man had no wheel chair or walker
-Man dragged himself, his meager belongings, and his broken colostomy bag down the street until helped out by onlookers
-This is not the first time this hospital has been accused of patient dumping

I do not know if the "Presbyterian" phrase in the title implies any religious affilation or backing.  The facility's website failed to mention it...however, here's the hospitals vision statement:

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is a primary care community hospital serving the health care needs of all members of the population within its service area. HPMC strives to distinguish itself as a community healthcare provider, recognized for providing quality, innovative care in a compassionate manner.

I'll be posting more on this later today or tomorrow.

Easy Bro thats my home town.Phoenix is runner up. Its too bad shit like that happens too people. Health care is a major issue country wide not Just L.A. I think the big wigs at that hospital should be worried. How can they get away with doing something like that. Hospitals at one time were there to help people but now they are big buisness. They were loosing money on that guy so they dumped him ? Thats crazy and the balls they had they were driving a compant van and the guy was in a hospital gown ? What were they thinking.

well, at least they distinguished themselves in innovative care? as for the compassion...did they tell the guy to tuck and roll, or just give him a good shove? if the former, i'd say that's compassion.
