I Club Huckabee

I wouldn't, dear readers, even for moment attempt to deceive you into thinking I'm an organized person. If I were so inclined, I'd probably segway into tonight's blog by insinuating it was my intention all along to meld the previous two day's topics into one in a delicate ballet of prose and insight. Nope, not going to do it. It was merely coincidental tonight's topic involves both politicians and nutcase religious beliefs.

That said, some of you may have heard the first Republican Presidential debate was held last Thursday in the Ronald "We Wish We Could Dig Him Up and Run Him Again" Reagan Presidential Library. A thoroughly banal afair overall, but a few interesting tidbits were divulged:

Moderator: "I'm curious, is there anyone on the stage who does not believe in evolution?"

Believe it or not, three cats raise their hands:

Tom Tancredo - U.S. Representative, Colorado (must be the thin air)
Sam Brownback - U.S. Senator, Kansas (there's a shocker)
and
Mike Huckabee - Former Arkansas Governer (Arkansas is one of the states I've suggested selling to Mexico for a few beads and trinkets)

Oh....my....god.

Brownback is VERY scary. In a "creepy dark thunderstorm at a remote lake when the power goes out and someone is going to go turn on the generator alone" scary.

More seriously, I think that Brownback really doesn't believe in evolution. Most politicians just pander to their constituencies or have possibly never even thought much about it. But Brownback...ewww.

McCain really pandered. He said something to the effect of "I believe in evolution, but when I hike the Grand Canyon at sunrise, I can definitely see the hand of God." Um, yeah. Have you seen his tubby ass lately? I don't think he's been doing to much hiking.

Just to be "fair and balanced" :) what about Hillary and her "bilingualism" when she speaks at southern churches? That was laughable. They are all shitheads.
