Shared on Thu, 03/01/2007 - 16:20Can't say much, taking an online class right now, and I've got poker immediately after that. Couple loose ends I think I mentioned but never brought up again. And no, I'm not so deluded that I think most people care:
The Buffalo Wireless router/access points and ethernet converter I ordered are not yet hooked up. I know, I'm a lazy bastard. I did however install the new adapator in my laptop, and it works absolutely perfectly...coulnd't be happier. I'm going to try and get the other stuff hooked up this weekend. MUST GET IT DONE BEFORE HALO 3 BETA!!!
Our new home gym is completly assembled and has even been used several times! I''m over the initial "my tits feel like they're going to fall off" pain and into the real workouts. Someone PM'd me asking the model. It's called the Ultimate Smith Machine II by Fitness Gear. It's sold exclusively through Dicks Sporting Goods. I got it on sale for $800 (60% off), and I couldn't be happier. It's got a linear bearing Smith system that rivals ANY I've every used in a health club for a fraction of the cost. I HIGHLY recommend this unit if anyone is considering a home gym. It buries the BowFlex I tried out, and at about 1/3 the cost.
The Double Dog Dare post generated a total rating of -14 by the deadline. I rounded it up to $15 and made the payment a while ago. This is by far the most ratings I've ever had on an entry. It should be noted that the rating would have been several ticks lower, but multiple people saved me money by "thumbs upping" the post. Didn't see that coming, but I think it's flippin awesome! Thanks to everyone that participated either way. I will probably do it again with some sort of twist in a month or so and/or after the new rating system is rolled out.
Final note, thanks all for the excellent comments and insights on yesterday's Nirvana/MLB 2K7 post....I really appreciate it.
