Misunderstanding the concept

Driving home from work today on the highway. I draw up to a blue minivan with a plethora of anti-abortion bumper stickers adorning its stern. One compares abortion to the Holocaust. Another reads Abortion: The Ultimate Child Abuse. I switch to the left lane to pass it.

When I pull up even with the driver's window in these types of situations, my normal modus operandi is to launch both arms outstretched flashing Judas Priest-esque devil's horns while sticking out and waggling my tongue. Today, I must say, the burger is knocked off my spatula.

The chick driving the minivan is smoking a cigarette with the windows rolled up and a toddler sitting in the front seat.

It's been a long time since I read The Divine Comedy. Can someone remind me which ring of the Inferno is reserved for the dangerously hypocritical?

I betcha she was pregant too, (because she probably thinks that birth conrol is evil too)and on her way to the bar. The stupid people are still breeding...

Kwazy - I travel that same stretch of US31 at least two days a week to visit the other big employer in that rusted shell of a town. Maybe we could carpool and you could keep me entertained with your rants!

I hate minivans in general because they almost always seem to me to be the worst drivers. Talking on the phone, not paying attention to the road, speeding, cutting across lanes suddenly. I've always believed that since they believe they bought a 'safe' car to protect their family, they don't need to worry about actually driving safely--their van will magically keep them safe in their little cellphone chatting bubble.

Too bad you didn't have the time to follow them to see if they went to a public place. Betcha that mother takes a big honking stroller out of the van with a oxygen tank on it because the kid 'developed' asthma. Then if the kid was a boy, she prolly didn't get him circumcised because it would have caused too much pain & suffering. Some people are clueless idiots without any common sense whatsoever.
