Went and saw Surrogates.  Mrs. Kwazy was all geeked up for this one.  I was looking forward to it a bit less.

Concept:  Brilliant.  Sort of a Second Life to the extreme.  No one ever leaves their houses or apartments anymore.  But rather they live out their daily lives by controlling robots called Surrogates.  One maybe evil, maybe not corporation controls the Surrogate market.

 

Execution:  Done with all the skill and delicacy of Lenny stroking rabbits.  Oh well, maybe 2012 will be better.

Yeah, I don't really get the whole concept....I'm slightly interested in seeing it, but, I'd rather live out my life how I want and have my 'robot' doing my day job. :)

I saw it with the missus today as well. Now i'm wondering what will come first in our future, genetically engineered people a'la Gattica or Surrogates.

I'm guessing more along the Gattica line. It's already starting in some countries with less restrictive laws.
