Shared on Thu, 10/30/2008 - 15:27For years now people have been complaining about the reliability and ease of use of voting machines. Diebold and a few other firms are the dominant players in that space, but for some reason can't seem to make a product that works reliably across the board, according to all of the headlines and stories about problems with voting machines. I'm sure there is more to it, but it seems to me that there are much more sophisticated systems being manufactured and being used out in the marketplace every day, as compared to voting machines.
So my suggestion is that Bungie and Dell join forces to create new voter machines that actually work and are easy to use. Why did I pick these two companies? Well, Bungie creates some of the most innovative and advanced games and gaming software so creating a program that works well for voting should be a breeze for them. And Dell for the hardware because they make great PCs that are reliable and do what they are supposed to do. Hell, through Apple in the mix if you want to. Just seems like companies like these would do a better job than the current voting machine manufacturers, and it doesn't seem like it should be so complicated.
