New 2old2play Community Liaison

Hello Everyone! I am Geekboy aka Lala Calamari. I became a 2o2p member back in January 30th, 2007. I found the site through an article on Digg.com (back when Digg was relevant). I never could get into XBox Live as I could not tolerate the Timmies. I actually have a launch date XBox 180. I signed up for Live and lasted about a month. I then got a 360 and stumbled upon 2o2p. I instantly fell in love with the site, it was so nice gaming with people my age. I've since had a full friends list and all are members from the site.

I'm getting old. I've been gaming since Pong. I grew up in the arcades and with my Atari 2600. Consoles I've owned are a NES, Sega Genesis, Sony PS1, Dreamcast, XBox 1, and the XBox 360. I even ventured into WoW for over a year.

I became a mod about a year ago. I felt that I should pay back to the community, as I would not have XBox live if 2o2p did not exist. I also have been involved and helped organize a lot of the 2o2p Community events including the MML, Community wide playdates and Xbox Live Community Playdates.

One of my goals as Community liaison is to help the site grow. Get the clans of the site to interact more and game together. I'm also working with NoGame and F1R3 create more playdates for various games and community events. And finally, to help the main forums become more active.

Right now we're working on a sitewide BLOPs mixer.  We're also hoping to do some other game mixers. Maybe a GOW beta and Halo one. And we will be announcing a very unique BLOPs tournament that should be a lot of fun. I'm very excited over that one and think it will be well recieved.
