Finally something to blog about?

I have wondered what the hell to do with my blog since the site first added them. I think I am finally going to use my blog and share my new hobby with you.

My Christmas present this year was a mini wood lathe. I have wanted to get into woodturning for several years now. The last time I used a lathe was in 8th grade, 20 plus years ago, and all I did was create a really crappy baseball bat that broke the first time I hit a ball with it. So, first things first, pics of the shop...

Now to the pens. The first one is a perfect example of how to do everything wrong with a pen . I pressed the twist mechanism in too far so now the pen won't close. I also didn't make it small enough so the parts don't match up properly. Oh well, first attempt, at least it writes....

This second one turned out much better than the first attempt...

The third one turned out exactly like I hoped it would. I am thoroughly hooked on this stuff now.

Well, if you've stuck with me this far, I thank you. I plan on updating this blog regularly with my progress and projects. Future blogs should be shorter with just before and after pics.
