Shared on Sat, 01/03/2009 - 03:31I spent last night doing a tweak to the setup of the shop to make things flow better, so not a very big update this time around. I plan on hitting it hard tomorrow and should have a big update on Sunday....
I had hoped to have a pen to show you this time around, but it turns out that the blank I had set aside for it wasn't big enough.This first pic shows what happens when the drill bit is too big for the blank you're using

Here is the only project I completed tonight. It's a toothpick holder made out of an unknown (to me) wood. I experimented with the finish on this one and tried a Krazy Glue finish. My finishing skills need a lot of practice, but I figure that will come in time.
FYI, when you apply Krazy Glue to a piece of wood spinning at 1300 RPM, it get REALLY fucking hot. Burned the shit out of my finger and melted the surgical glove I was wearing.
