Pro Ladder: VF vs Profanity

So much for the third time being the charm... I think thus far this is the best match weve played. We managed to stick to our strategies and set ups and stayed consistant. Thanks to all the players in FourShotKill for scriming with us on Monday and helping us on our KotH in Sanctuary. Without their help the score would have looked a lot worse!

Thankfully we had a lot of practice the day before and the couple hours leading up to the match. Team dynamics are starting to evolve and Im starting to not worry about my flank cause I know where my guys are. At least we are consistant and with that there is only one way to go from here: up.

Game One: KotH Sanctuary, Get him off that ring!!!

Schwaaa!!! I started off this game spawned right next to Drost at the bottom of Blue Snipe Spawn. I got him, but got promptly cleaned up by another member of Profanity. They got control of the first hill and were able to hold it off till the hill moved. Second hill we kept their time down but it wasnt until a minute into that hill that we realized Soup was giving us greif from Ring 3. "Get down here and fight me like a Man!!!"

Mid game the hill moved to Blue Snipe and we held it for just about the whole 2 minutes. We might have even took the lead for a few seconds (I cant remember for sure) but once it moved and Malice got control of a sinper rifle the VF team couldnt get a hold of another hill. Hill moves a few more times and I cant seem to finish anyone off that game.

Game Two: CTF Midship, Were surrounded!!! Good, that means we can die in all directions...

Gah!!! I think Soup spawned on Pink 3 that game. By the 5 seconds it took me to get to my position, Laud (our Pink 2/3 holder) was dead and Soup was giving greif from pink. The first minute of that game consisted of both teams setting up and trying to gain map control. In that time we managed to get their flag into our base. A simple pick up and walk the flag to the score point would suffice, but RedSooner decided that since someone else from the team was standing on the score point that he should throw it to them. Well, I cant say for sure, because I was covering Carb side door and had my back to the action, but something went wrong and we didnt get the score. I dont know about the others in the team but that just crushed my morale.

The game went down hill from that point. We couldnt get a handle on what Profanity was doing, Soup whored Pink 3 and we only took him out once. I learned a ton from that game. I feel if we didnt get discombobulated we would have done better. I should have also picked up on the fact that they dominated the pink side and should have shifted focus to bring their flag over through Carb instead.

Profanity takes our flag and mops up our dead bodies with it...

Game Three: TS Beaver Creek, Whats this button do?

GoGoGo!!! The first quarter of the game was a stalemate between both teams. We took Blue base early and contoled Sniper Rifle. Im still trying to get the grenade toss down to knock the Rockets over to Blue side, needless to say, I miss both starting grenades and abandon the effort. Profanity controled the Rockets and the OS for the first quater. I start off with a killing spree but should have gone for more. I was off rythm with the Sniper Rifle and didnt quite use it to much effect. Despite not having rockets RedSooner did an awesome job of keeping the teleporter locked down. We held a slim lead for that first quarter but it was promptly erased once Soup got a good hold of the Rockets and I couldnt Snipe him off the arch.

They eventually over-took the Blue side and increased their lead once Malice grabed the Sniper Rifle. We picked off a few more of them and by the end of the game both teams positions went to pot but it didnt matter anyways. And with 4 minutes left to go I hear this from Laud over teamchat, "Did you guys hear a word I was saying the whole game? Oh shit, I had the mute on the whole time!" Despite Laud being muted for the whole game we kept the comm flowing and we worked off eachother really well

VF gives Profanity greif to no avail...
