85 Years Young

I got to talk to my grandmother today and wished her a Happy Birthday.  Technology is great.  I don't own a home phone so all calls to Canada are made using Yahoo.  It only costs 1 cent a minute. 

it was so great to talk to her.  Today is her 85th Birthday.  They had a surprise birthday party for her at my uncle's cabin.  They said the weather was beautiful.  They have the hockey rink scraped off on the ice and the weather was perfect for skating.  Of course she is not skating, but it wouldn't surprise me if she went out on the ice.

My aunt told me the other day it rained a little bit and then got cold.  There was no wind and so the ice was nice and smooth.  She said they could have skated for miles.  I really do miss that.  I love the south and the heat, but there is nothing like ice skating all day and having a nice bon fire.

I wish I could have been there, but it is a long way from Georgia to New Brunswick Canada.
