My Attempt to download Blastacular Halo2 map on 4/17/07

Equipment – XBOX Original

4/17/07

1:30 am – Went to bed after playing Halo

7:30 am – Going to start the download Blastacular before I leave for work.

Can't download Maps. Premium Purchases are not enabled for the Xbox Live account. To make premium purchases with the account enable Premium Purchases in Account settings in the Xbox Dashboard.

I Go to Account Settings - Unable to continue due to technical difficulties. Please try again later.

Hmm. Same message I got in February when trying to change my credit card info.

8:00 am – Go to work.

Work..

11:00 am - Conference call. Research above error message during call

Apparently I had migrated my account to an XBOX 360. Not sure when since I have never played on LIVE with a 360.

1:30 pm - Conference call over. Go home and get online to talk with Clan Mates. Tell me to call 4My-Xbox.

1:40: Call My-Xbox and talked with Joe.
Explained Situation
Give him my Xbox live email account and password (1st time I have ever done that)
35 minutes later he says he is going to have a supervisor help me.
Supervisor – Gordon

2:40 - Tells me he knows what the problem is. Go to my Xbox and remove disk and turn on. I know when he is going to do and I know it won’t work but I do it anyways. When I come back he is gone. Wait for him to call back

2:45 pm – Call back to 4MyXbox. Put on hold

2:50 pm - Leave for work

2:55 pm – Arrive at work. Hang up phone. Change Xbox Live email password.

Work.

5:55 pm Come home, feed my daughter and take her for a walk. Work on fish pond.

9:00 4/17 pm - Called my brother and had him put my account on his Xbox. Asked him to turn on Premium Purchases. He can’t find it. We check Parental Controls. We check everything.

He logs off. I recover account. Same problem

I see a Forum message from one of my clan mates saying to go to Account Management on 360 and tell the account to use the credit card and not to redeem points. My brother does this. Same Problem. My brother deletes account and tries again. I recover account. Same problem

10:00 – Hang up phone with Brother

10:30 – Wife goes to bed.

10:40 – Call back to 4MyXbox. Can’t take my call. Try back later.

10:45 – Brother says he is going to bed and logs off Yahoo Chat.

10:50 - Call back and get Crystal. Called on Cell phone. Explained the situation. Cell phone beeps. I run for the cable. Cell phone Beeps and Dies

10:50 - Call 4MyXBOX. Can't take my call. Try back later

10:55 - Call 4MyXBOX. Don't understand Name. Explain all over again.

11:05 - She says that once I disable Premium Content on a Credit Card, I can't enable it. Say what??

11:07 – She says I need to have a new credit card put on the account and I need to be transferred to billing. I look at xbox.com to add a credit card. billing.microsoft.com says "This transfer incorporates the terms you previously accepted for each service, including any authorizations to charge your payment method." That would mean to me that my NO premium purchases terms would also go across.

11:10 - still holding

11:17 pm – Transferred to Evan. Gave new credit card info

11:19 pm - Back on hold

11:21 pm – back off hold. He calls me Doyle. Who is Doyle?

11:25 pm – Same Problem “. Premium Purchases are not enabled for the Xbox Live account…”

11:28 pm – Transferred back to support. Explained situation from the start.

11:37 pm – Back on hold

11:40 pm - Says that it is network traffic.

11:43 pm – says need to recover account.

11:48 pm – Recovered account with new credit card.

11:50 pm – Says Everything on my account is correct. Says it is because of Network Traffic. Try tomorrow. Thank-you for calling Microsoft support.

12:10 pm – Finished writing this. Talked with 6 people at Microsoft (got cut off from two of them) and still no resolution.

Will try again Wednesday evening……. Stay Tuned.
