Single A Baseball

I took my 5 year old daughter to the last home game of our Single Low A Baseball Team.  Earlier in the summer we went to a day game and it was 94 F and she hated it.  Said she was never going back.  Nothing like fireworks after a game to bribe a child. 

Bottom of the 9th. Score is tied 4-4.  First batter up, single.  Second batter, sacrifice bunt.  Third batter, infield single (out).  Man on third, 2 outs, last home game.  Guy come to the plate, strike one..... second pitch, single to left center field.  The croud jumps to its feet and roars.. I look next to me and my 5 year old is jumping up and down and hollaring.

We stayed and watched the fireworks to movie tunes.  Walking back to the truck after the fireworks, my daughter says to me; "dad, best day ever".
