Shared on Wed, 11/01/2006 - 23:48Good thing I am not a professional sports player. I had a shot last Thursday for the herniated disc. Yup, they pushed in 10 CC's of steroids into the space around my spine. I think I have gained 1 pound per CC. I am constantly hungry and I am hot all the time. Sleep? What is that? So here I sit on the couch blogging at 12:30 at night. I don't dare turn on the Xbox because then I know I will be up all night.
So nothing is on TV. I have over the air HD which is cool but don't have cable so there is nothing on right now. Dave Letterman just went off, Fox no longer shows COPS at midnight. PBS isn't running NOVA or Nature. My parents are still in bed so I can't chat with them. They are 7 hours ahead of me so it is time they get up. Did I mention I was hungry?
So, I am going to be brave this week.. The shot hasn't helped very much so "friends", at least I think they are my friends have convinced me to try out something called an inversion table. http://www.heartmonitors.com/inversion/index.htm. So we shall see if they really are my friends or just want to see all the blood run to my head. I have had a couple of different people tell me that they work and will help relieve the pressure off of my disc. So, we shall see if they really are my friends or just want a good laugh at my expense.
I might even try to get picture of me standing on my head so I can let everyone laugh at me. Seriously, if you have ever used an inversion table and have had success let me know. I am going to be using a friends. He told me I could borrow it but he promised it to his son.. So I guess that if it works there goes 300 bucks.
until next time.
