Shared on Thu, 03/20/2008 - 10:26I was finally able to get my hands on a copy of R6V2 last night. I only had a few free hours so I was only able to scratch the surface as to what is available in the Vegas sequal. I had enough time to create my own character with the vision cam, play through the 1st SP level and hunt a few terrorists online. My early impressions are that there isn't much different from the first R6V. There are minor changes and upgrades but certainly nothing radical that sets the game in a different direction. That isn't a bad thing though because from what I have seen the game is going to be a joy to play. RSV 1 and 2 offer a unique tactical approach to the FPS genre. RSV2 builds on the success of the first entry and adds a few improvements that players will enjoy.
In addition to adding R6V2 to my game library, I also found a copy of Condemed: Criminal Origins on sale for $20 and couldn't resist. I have read a lot of great things about Criminal Origins and the sequal (Condemed: Bloodshot) also has my attention. There aren't a great deal of spooky games out there but from what I have heard, the Condemed series is outright terrifying. I can't wait to find out for myself. The long weekend is here and without work on Friday or Monday I won't have to wait long to dive deep into the new 360 library additions.
