Shared on Thu, 09/11/2008 - 18:28i happened to be in jersey city on that day. i was in a building that was right across from the towers. i got a call from my friend who was outside. he told me to come out quick. he hadn't realized what had happened and neither did i. we thought one of the towers was just on fire. we saw people jump. that was bad. people are saying around us that a plane crashed into the tower. we didn't see how that could have happened. we figured these people are just guessing. suddenly we saw a plane smash into the other tower. i never felt gripping cold like that again, even after i found out i had cancer. more people jumped. they jumped. from the top of the twin fucking towers. i'd rather burn. my friend said they chose between burning to death and finding out how it feels like to fly. that was it, i left. jersey city was in chaos at that point. later, i was looking for the towers but there was so much smoke that i couldn't see them. little did i know they had fallen down. later you could smell the smoke for miles away. it actually smelled like wet concrete. going home that night on rt 9 was surreal. i never saw such smoke trailing away to the south. rt 9 north was just stopped as it led to the tunnel and there was no goin in. traffic just backed up for miles and miles with everyone out of their cars staring at where the towers were. i went home and watched the news.
my friends who are policemen and firemen helped in the cleanup. they told me of finding clothes, fingers, bones, etc. some of them are really sick now because of whatever they inhaled.
to this day, remains of victims are still lost in landfills.
osama bin laden is still on the loose.
my friends who died that day are still dead.
"9-11 Never Forget"
i wish i could
