Why is it called a TV "set" when you only get one?

 

If pro is the opposite of con, is progress the opposite of congress?

Why is there an expiration date on SOUR cream?

 

Shouldn't there be a shorter word for "monosyllabic"?

 

Why did kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

 

Does a fish get cramps after eating?


Why do they sterilize the needles for lethal injections?

 

How do you KNOW it's new and improved dog food?

 

How do you know when it's time to tune your bagpipes?


Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

 

Does 'virgin wool' come from sheep the shepherd hasn't caught yet?

If the front of your car says 'DODGE', do you really need a horn?

 

And most importantly:   WHY CAN’T I PLAY THE H3 BETA BUNGIE?  WHATS THE PROBLEM?  YOU HAD ONE TIME TO GET IT RIGHT AND YOU FAILED BUNGIE!!!!!!!

 

Guess it figures…they couldn’t even get the H2 maps to some people why should this be any different??

Funny stuff mad. Sorry to hear about the Bungie F@#! up. But like you said after the Map fiasco its not all that surprising. My Clan mate Mr White is experiencing the same nightmare. He posted up in our clan forum that he took the day off from work to play...needless to say 6 hours later and still no Beta he's not a happy camper . :-( Hey i missed your previous post when ya posted it. Congrats on your 30th B Day. The thirties are allot of fun, at least for me they were, enjoy em. :-) - BAT

Thanks Klik...I can ALMOST here the sympathy in your voice!! XSSmoke...you kill him, I'll "peach punch" him! Bat...Thanks for the greetings! It was a wonderful birthday for me. Hubby surprised me with a vacation just us to Universal over Memorial Day weekend. Can't wait :) Tell Mr. White I feel his pain! Stupid Bungie!!

Sorry you can't get into the Beta, the ONLY consolation is that you are not alone! btw - two answers for you. TV sets - in the early days of TV, the only way to get one was in a set with phono and radio. Since TV was on only a few hours a day, you needed all three to add noise to your house all day. (I know this from experience, 'cause I'm so old!) Kamikaze pilots wore helmets for headset, plus it got cold in those leaky buckets if you got high enough. The rest are right on!

Happy birthday! It paid off being a geek and trying for the "rule 3". I got one game in before I was off to work so I look forward to a little beta tonight and hope to see you online shortly!
