Shared on Fri, 02/22/2008 - 08:35I feel like my day is half over already. Syd was up at 5am screaming so we had a lovely time for the 4 hours before I left for work. lovely.
I get motivated by the strangest things sometimes. I'll get this idea in my head and can't focus on anything else until I get it out of my system. This past weekend it was a tv stand. I can't stand the thought of blowing $200 on piece of furniture right now so I found a pic of a table/stand that I liked and built one in my basement.
I'm engineerily challenged as my wife would tell you. I worked on mobile homes for a summer in college and became a master of moving pictures to cover holes and fixing things with half a tube of calk. In this case I didn't even own any power tools, I had to borrow them from an inlaw. The wood used to be ugly shelving screwed to a wall and a can of stain covers boo boos. Speaking of which, a smart person would have stained it outside or in a well ventilated area so that the basement and 1st floor didn't reek of stain 5 days later. live and learn.
