Shared on Tue, 05/29/2007 - 22:12First of all let me say to all of my clan mates I miss you. Having a 5 week old and a 22 month old my gaming has taken a backseat. My youngest however is starting to get into a regular sleeping pattern so I expect to be back online more often very soon. Not to mention that my Internet connection has been going down more often than Paris Hilton on a Friday night
Any way back to my topic, I am looking to the fellow parents on this site for any thoughts or suggestions for a recent trend my oldest daughter has found. Sunday during her nap time marked the 4th occasion that she decided to remove her pants and her diaper although this was the first mess we had.
I was feeding my youngest on the couch and I could hear her stirring in the other room. My wife was on her way home and I just could not get to her right then. I was wrapping up the feeding when I began to smell something foul. I put my youngest in her playpen and went to investigate. I walked in and found my daughter, her crib, and all her bedding covered in (you know damn well what so I'm not going to say it). Just then I heard my wife walk in the house. I yelled for her to get in there right away.
My wife started laughing which I can't blame her but I don't want my daughter to think this behavior was funny or ok regardless so I yelled at my wife to stop. I immediately took her into the tub and gave her a bath while my wife worked on the crib. My daughter was covered face, hair, mouth....everything. It took about an hour and multiple rounds in the washer to get everything cleaned.
I know some of you out there must have faced something like this with your kids and I am looking for any suggestions you may have. Right now when we put her to bed she is wearing shorts that she cannot pull off to help prevent this.
