I am humbled and amazed at the difference between my readiness for this child compared to our first. In the last few weeks before my oldest was born I was extremely nervous and down right scared. I didn't know if I would be a good father, hell I had never held a baby for more than a couple of minutes my entire life. This time I was excited, knowing what to expect and how I would handle it was a great relief.
I had ordered a surprise for my wife but I wasn't sure if it would make it before she arrived home. I made a few calls and I was able to get it delivered about an hour before we got home. When we pulled up to the house I had my wife close her eyes. When she opened them she saw this...
She was immediately in tears. The sign is a rental but we get to keep the stars, we will hang one in each of the girls rooms. Everyone is sound asleep now except for me....guess I will join in.
