Well, at least he basically told you what you needed to do to get the job the next time you interview.\r \r It also shows that he is a pretty fair boss, cause it sounds like he wanted you to get the job, but didn't feel you had earned it through the interview, so he gave it to the person who he felt did earn it.\r \r That's a pretty fair boss IMO.

Oh well, better luck next time. Keep in mind, they're probably watching to see how you react to not getting the job, so keep your cool, which it seems like you are doing.

There is definitely something odd about internal interviews. Interviews are where you put your best foot forward - but if you do that with people you've been working with for 6 months you feel like a fake...I've been through that before. \r \r Either way...good luck to you next time. Chalk it up as interviewing experience which is always good...

It's mainly the eating of the biscuit part I consider gay. But that is my own personal opinion I suppose, I'm sure plenty of heterosexual males out there enjoy eating things of that nature with their friends.
