Halo-themed controller

I bought one of those controllers with the Halo cartoony artwork on it last week.  I needed a new one and I figured for 10 bucks more, why not?  Yes I have already taken crap from my clan for being a 'sucker', but if it floats your boat, by all means chime in.

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows about this thing--it appears that it will only work with the included battery pack--meaning I need to use real batteries, I can't use a rechargeable one in there.  Does anyone know if this is how it's supposed to be? The metal contacts on the rechargeable are different from the alkaline battery pack, it's just weird if they intended it that way.

Also if anyone's interested, the d-pad actually feels a lot tighter in this controller. The face buttons feel more responsive too but that could just be because my old controller is getting wear and tear. The d-pad is definitely better though. I could have looked into this controller a bit more before I bought it but what would this country be like without impulse buys? It would be Russia.

I bought the MC version. I didn't have any issues with using rechargable batteries in mine. FYI, I didn't pay a penny for mine. I traded in Gears of War and a few other games for it.

I did the same came across both and bought them lol! and no mine works fine with the rechargeable batteries both of them.

I have them both as well. Rechargeable batteries are fine in mine.
