After watching the film I have come up with this equation:
Dodgeball - Everything funny + hot asian chick = Balls of Fury.
They really had to work to make this one unfunny. It had serious potential but it seems like they deliberately kept out all humor. Christopher Walken tried but it seems like they muzzled him, along with the guy who played the tv-watching-neighbor in Office Space. Sure, there were a few laughs, but there could have been SO MUCH MORE! I mean start with the fact that you've got David Lo Pan and Shang Tsung in the same movie, two of the coolest bad-guy asian actors ever (next to the meat-cleaver-wielding guy from Big Trouble in Little China who is THE coolest, of course). Seems like it would be tough to fail with those two--but it did. Oh well, Maggie Q was incredibly hot so it wasn't a total waste of time.
